The Senior Challenge Cup

Kendal United progressed into the next round of The Senior Challenge Cup after they defeated Greystoke 3-1

Greystoke who are second in James Cropper Westmorland League Division Two gave Kendal United a tough game and went 1-0 up early in the first half after a good finish by L Brough.

However Kendal United battled back and equalised shortly after when Ryan Close finished past the keeper. Kendal United pushed on and were eventually rewarded in the second half after Matt Kennedy fired the ball into the net.

Kendal United impressed for the remainder of the second half and sealed the win thanks to a good finish by Danny Craig. Kendal continued to play well and create further opportunities before they saw out the game in comfortable fashion. The fact the game was played after all the rain was credit to the club while many other games were called off.

Kendal Uniteds next game is on Saturday as they travel to play Chipping with the game kicking off at 2pm.
