Kendal United 4 v Dalton Utd 0

KENDAL UNITED 4 V DALTON UNITED 0

Kendal United were one of the few teams to play on a weekend where Storm Arwin ripped through the country. However on an afternoon where the wind chill reached below freezing, both teams battled out the conditions at Castle Drive.

Kendal United dominated the first 30 minutes of the game after they created lots of opportunities to a point where the team could have been 3-0 up. However their dominance eventually told after 32 minutes when Bailey Kenny unleashed an unstoppable free kick which went into the top corner of the net. And it was Kenny who scored the teams second four minutes later after he finished off a good move before placing the ball past the stranded keeper.

Kendal saw off the early threat of Dalton within the first five to ten minutes of the second half before gaining full control creating more opportunities. In the end Kendal secured the points after 70 minutes when Thomas Russell finished from close range, before Joe Fleming who had just come off the bench scored the teams fourth on 87 minutes to secure the win.

Kendal United now play three consecutive home games over the next 3 weeks as they host Garstang on Saturday before entertaining league leaders Rossendale the following weekend. Kendal are then home to Galgate on Saturday 18 th December as they look to round off a positive first half of the season in style.
